Ways to Give
Cash - the least complicated way to help. There are two
ways to make a cash membership contribution:
1- Use your credit card by clicking on the seal's head
for access to our secure donations page.
2- Send a check made payable to National Marine Life Center
to P.O. Box 269, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532-0269
Securities - currently tax deductible at their fair market
share. A gift of appreciated securities may have additional benefits
to the donor.

Pledges - payable over three years in either cash or securities.
A combination of an initial gift of cash or securities and a multi-year
pledge helps NMLC planning. Call 508 743-9888 to arrange a pledge
and payments.
Matching Gifts - many employers match the charitable contributions
of their current and retired employees, thus increasing the effectiveness
of your gift. Check with your company, or call the NMLC.
Memorial Gifts - many people are finding that an enduring
memorial to loved ones is a donation to the National Marine Life
Center. Memorial Gifts generally are designated to the Building
Fund, unless the donors specifies differently. Examples of existing
memorial funds are three designated by the families of former NMLC
Trustees: Elizabeth S. Hornor, Austin B. Mason and Bradford I. Towle.
Bequests - Leaving a charitable bequest is the most simple,
and one of the most effective ways you have to leave a legacy. Your
will is a written testimonial of your concern for family and loved
ones, as well as a way to support causes and organizations you believe
in, such as the NMLC, far into the future.
A charitable bequest to the National Marine Life Center (NMLC) may
be structured in a variety of ways. A person may choose to leave
a specific dollar amount, a particular piece of real or personal
property, a percentage of the estate, all or a portion of the residue
of the estate following the satisfaction of other bequests, or a
combination of one or more of the above.

Other ways to help
In addition to making a membership contribution, you can help by
encouraging your family and friends to get involved. You can identify
others who might have an interest in helping. E-mail
us to suggest other contacts that might help. Or invite an NMLC
speaker to your club or community group by calling 508 743-9888.
By helping the NMLC, you demonstrate that you care about these majestic
ocean animals. That you want to help find out more about the causes
of marine animal strandings. That you want to help increase environmental
literacy, especially as it relates to the ocean and its inhabitants |
